Alpha Academy Alumnae Association – Jamaica Chapter Executives

Our purpose is to serve and to promote the mutual interests of Alpha Academy and its alumnae through and in collaboration with the school.


PRESIDENT
Ms. Stacey Williams
Class of 2001

A recently published author and accomplished public speaker, Stacey Williams is a team player, who is results driven. She has worked with National Commercial Bank for more than 16 years in a range of positions. She is currently Cluster Lead with the bank, leading the collection efforts.

Stacey completed the BSc in Management Studies at The University of the West Indies and has attended coaching, performance and supervisory management training courses. She is a certified Scrum Master, author of the book, Memoir of Keithie’s Number Seventeen and mentor to many.

 

PRESIDENT ELECT
Ms. Tasha Manley

An accomplished attorney-at-law, Tasha Manley was selected as President Elect in September 2022 and joined the Executive Committee of the Alpha Academy Alumnae Association, Jamaica Chapter.

Ms Manley is General Legal Counsel at The Jamaica National Group. She has served as President of the Norman Manley Students' Association and of the Legal Officer's Staff Association. She was a member of the Women's Leadership Initiative which spearheaded a mentorship programme for three Alpha girls (now past students) from inner-city communities, who are now successful professionals.

 

VICE PRESIDENT – MEMBERSHIP
Sashagay Weise
Class of 2002

Project Management Professional, Sashagay Weise, is Credit and Collection Supervisor at the Digicel Group. She started her career at Digicel Jamaica as Credit and Collection Analyst and also worked with the Jamaica Biscuit Company as Special Project Coordinator and the NCB Insurance Company in the areas of pension, sales support and collection. She organised the 2014 Youth Centres Study Programme as Administrative/Project Support Officer with CUSO international and the National Volunteerism Symposium in Dominica in 2015.

Sashagay completed the BSc in Construction Management at the University of Technology and the MBA and Project Management certification at The University of the West Indies.

 

VICE PRESIDENT – MENTORSHIP
Priscilla Spence Wisdom
Class of 2005

Priscilla Spence-Wisdom is the Compliance Manager at Cable Wireless & Columbus Communications Jamaica Limited (Flow). She has over 10 years of accounting & auditing experience that spans various industries such as telecommunications, manufacturing, gaming & insurance industries. Her professional experience includes two years as Chief Accountant at International Game Technology (IGT) and 5 years as External Auditor at KPMG.


She is a Chartered Accountant, Certified Fraud Examiner and an ACCA. Priscilla is an active member of the New Testament Church of God in Jamaica. Some of her hobbies include listening to podcasts, going to the beach, teaching and cooking. She attended The University of the West Indies (UWI), Mona, where she attained her BSc. in Accounting. During her time at Alpha she was the recipient of the Norangh Singh award for Business Studies in 2005 and was the Key Club President 2006-2007.

 

VICE PRESIDENT - PUBLIC RELATIONS
Tanya Veira Pringle
Class of 1976

 Tanya Veira Pringle has worked in the field of communications for over 20 years. She is Executive, Corporate Communications at The Jamaica National Group where she has worked for 13 years. As Vice President of the Alpha Alumnae Association Jamaica (AAAJ) Chapter, she works closely with the Executive to create greater awareness of the AAAJ and increase the Association’s membership, with the objective to provide increased support to Alpha Academy and its students.

She completed the Masters in Communication from the University of Leicester, United Kingdom, is a founding member of the JN Toastmasters Club and has served as President.

 

TREASURER
Soan Madden
Class of 1992 & 1994

Soan Madden received the award of Most Outstanding Student in Accounts from Alpha Academy in 1992. She is a Senior Manager for Internal Audit at The Jamaica National Group. She is also currently Assistant Honorary Treasurer for the Jamaica Chamber of Commerce.

Soan Madden is a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) and has achieved the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) qualification, the global professional accountancy qualification.

 

SECRETARY
Trish-Ann Knight
Class of 2009

Trish-Ann Knight graduated from Alpha Academy with 13 CSEC subjects and has always been an active part of the Alpha family, both as a student and graduate. She is a Laboratory Technician at Wisynco Group, works as a English Language tutor, and also serves as a Presiding Officer for Ministry of Education examinations.

She attended the University of the West Indies, graduating with a BSc in Applied Chemistry, with a minor in Psychology. Trish-Ann is an active volunteer, who has provided support to The University Hospital of the West Indies, Kingston Public Hospital, the Blood Bank, Mona Primary, August Town Primary and Jones Town Primary.

 

IMMEDIATE PAST PRESIDENT
Dr. Tameka Stephenson Harris
Class of 2002 & 2004

Alpha Spirit of Mercy Awardee (2021), Governor-General Achievement Awardee (2018) and I Believe Ambassador, Dr Tameka Stephenson Harris holds four degrees – a Bachelor in Nutrition and Dietetics, a Master in Nutrition, a Bachelor of Science, as well as a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery. She is now pursuing a doctorate in Pediatrics.

She is Coordinator for the Special Olympics Healthy Athletes Programme and also serves on several bodies, including the Jamaica Medical Doctors Association, the Jamaica Cancer Society, and the Jamaica Island Nutrition Network.

As President of the AAAAJ for 2021-2022, she successfully led the Association’s membership, fundraising and mentorship activities.
